Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay 2006

주말 저녁에 가족들과 함께 마신 와인입니다.  리슬링이나 샤도네이 같은 화이트 와인을 선호하는 편인데, 가격이 아주 비싸지도 않고 (3만원 이하) 과일향도 풍부한 괜찮은 와인이었습니다.

□ 느낌: 풍부한 과일향이 느껴지는 깔끔한 화이트 와인.  가격 대비 훌륭한 맛으로 괜찮은 와인 리스트에 추가함.
□ 함께한 음식: 집에서 만든 토마토 소스 파스타, 참깨 소스 샐러드 (모두 코스트코에서 재료를 대부분 구입한...)

로버트 파커가 89점을 줬고, 대부분 가격 대비 훌륭한 Value를 가진 와인이라는 평입니다.  켄달잭슨 홈페이지에서 보니 $14에 판매하던데, 우리나라 가격으로 따지면 가격 대비 Value라는 장점이 조금 사라지네요. 

89 – "There are some terrific values in this portfolio, none better than the 2006 Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay. It is certainly one of the best Chardonnays for the money. This wine, which comes from coastal vineyards owned by Jackson, is 90% barrel-fermented and put through 100% malolactic, which is remarkable given the quantity of wine made. Crisp orange marmalade and lemon oil notes as well as some tropical fruits always characterize this wine, which seems to show very little evidence of oak, with gorgeously lush fruit, and zesty acidity in a fresh, lively style.
